Attorney Derek Cavada

Derek Cavada is the Founding Attorney of The Cavada Law Firm, P.A. His practice areas focus on civil litigation, personal injury, wrongful death, car accidents, trucking accidents, motorcycle accidents, slip and falls, Uber and Lyft accidents, and worker's compensation.

Derek earned his undergraduate degree from Florida International University and obtained his Juris Doctor Law from the Florida State University. After law school, Derek immediately earned vital court room experience working at The Office of the Public Defender. Beginning his career as a trial attorney. While serving his community as an Assistant Public Defender, Derek refined his advocacy skills in the Courtroom, having tried and obtaining favorable jury verdicts.

Upon leaving the Public Defender's office, he established The Cavada Law Firm, P.A. to continue to serve the needs of his community by ensuring they have access to all the help and support they need at what is often a very difficult time.

Derek born and raised in Florida and has always remained dedicated to his local community. He, and his family, spend a great deal of time volunteering and donating to his local community. He enjoys spending quality time with this wife and two children, playing tennis, swimming, and fishing.
