Motorcyclist settles case for $1.5 Million

July 26, 2012

Carl Townsend, a surveyor, was riding his motorcycle home from work when he was struck by a car driven by a bank executive who was leaving work early in order to attend a charity event on behalf of the bank. It was argued that the bank executive was within the course and scope of his employment at the time of the accident, thus making the bank responsible for the accident. As a result of this tragic accident, Carl’s leg was traumatically amputated.
